The Dental Specialists Pediatric Dentistry would like to extend a warm welcome to our new owner and team member, Dr. Dominique Oliver. Raised in nearby Rowlett, Dr. Oliver earned her undergraduate degree at Arkansas State University and her dental degree at the prestigious Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. She then completed her pediatric residency at the esteemed Yale New Haven Hospital-Pediatric Dentistry in 2022.
Dr. Oliver was first drawn to pediatric dentistry with the hopes of helping make oral health care a more positive field for children. She understands how things like anxiety or fear of the dentist can make even routine oral hygiene a challenge for kids, and it is her belief that the best way to combat this is to give her patients positive experiences to encourage them. That way, they’ll feel empowered to take care of their smiles at home, making routine visits to the dentist a whole lot smoother in the process!
Dr. Oliver is a proud, active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Texas Dental Association. When she’s not here in the office helping make children’s smiles brighter, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and indulging her creative side by making pottery. A talented athlete, she played Division 1 basketball in college and even won two conference championships!
